QuickNaira takes your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and with whom we share it and how you (the user of the Service) can prevent us from sharing certain information with certain third parties.

SECTION ONE: DEFINATIONS

 

This Privacy Policy applies to use of:

 

1. QuickNaira mobile application software("App"available on our site or hosted on the Google Play Store ("App Site")once you have downloaded the App onto your mobile telephone device ("Device").

 

2. Any of the services accessible through the App which are available on the App site or other site of ours ("Service Sites").Terms used in this Privacy Policy shall have the following meanings:

 

a. "We""Our" and "Us" refer to Avenir Tech Credit Limited (a company incorporated under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria) and its developed QuickNaira App. 

b"Compliance Obligations" means QuickNaira's legal obligation imposed by local and international law, internal policies and procedures.

c. "Consumer" or ""User" means any natural person within the Republic of Nigeria to which QuickNaira provides its products and services.

d"Consumer Information" means consumer personal data, confidential information, tax information, information concerning the consumer, consumer's transaction, use of QuickNaira's products and services and history relation with QuickNaira.

e. "Personal Data" means any information about an individual that can be directly or indirectly identified; in particular by reference to identifiers such as name, ID number, gender, online identifiers, or by reference to specific physical, physiological, genetic, One or more factors of spiritual, economic, etc., whether or not recorded in material form.

f."Sensitive Consumer Personal Data" means data revealing the natural person's race, health, status, ethnic, social origin, conscience, belief, property details, marital status, family details including names of the person's children, parents, spouse or spouses, sex or sexual orientation.

g"Services" means services offered by QuickNaira in particular via QuickNaira App during the relation established between QuickNaira and the customer. 

h"Consent" means a clear and express indication of your agreement to the processing of your personal data. Consent will only be valid if its freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us via contact@avenircreditng.comReference to the singular includes the plural (and vice versa).

 

SECTION TWO. INFORMATION WE COLLECT 

QuickNaira collects two types of data, one is the system data authorized by the user to QuickNaira, which is described in 1, and the other is the information filled in by the user, including but not limited to the user's name and other data, which is described in detail in 2.

 

1. User authorization data

 

1.1 SMS data

What We Collect: All SMS data will be encrypted by the application and uploaded to the server. We collect text message content from your inbox, including sender number, sender name and text message content, these financial text message data also include your historical information, but we only use financial-related information.

 

Purpose: To identify and analyze your multi-loan behavior and risks, to assess whether the loan can be processed by helping prevent fraudulent collections and monitoring transaction details and amounts for financial and non-personal text messages. It will be used to calculate eligibility and assess customer risk. We analyze the user's text messages, verify and track the user's financial transactions in the background, and make the correct credit limit decision based on the user's consumption budget and payment ability. This helps us identify the various bank accounts you may have, cash flow patterns, descriptions, and transaction amounts that you as a user can help you process.

 

SMS Data Storage: SMS data will be encrypted and uploaded to our server https://app-api.avenircreditng.com via HTTPS protocol. At no point will we share this data with third parties.

 

1.Installed Application Data

What We Collect: We will collect a list of installed application on your phone, including application name, package name, installation/update time, version.

 

Purpose: We will use this data to conduct credit risk assessments to determine your risk profile and provide you with appropriate credit analysis.

 

Installed Application Data Storage: Phone and device data will be encrypted and uploaded to our dedicated server https://app-api.avenircreditng.com via HTTPS protocol.At no point will we share this data with third parties.

 

1.Calendar

What We Collect: We collect and use your calendar data.

 

Purpose: To remind users before they are due and to avoid a drop in their credit score due to overdue payments.

 

Calendar Data Storage: Calendar data will be encrypted and uploaded to our dedicated server https://app-api.avenircreditng.com via HTTPS protocol. At no point will we share this data with third parties.

 

1.Emergency Contacts Information

What We Collect: During the usage of services, you shall be expected to provide emergency/reference contacts to verify your credit and help you through the loan application process.

 

Purpose: Information collected is needed for risk analysis so that we can test reliable references to assess you and determine your eligibility for loans and reduce credit risk.

 

Location Data Storage: Details of emergency contacts will be encrypted and uploaded to our server https://app-api.avenircreditng.com via HTTPS protocol.

 

1.5 Location information

What We Collect: Information about the coarse location of your device is collected and monitored.

 

Purpose: Based on the location information of the device, calculations are made to establish the user's credit score model; to avoid unnecessary trouble and impact on customer service if the user's device is lost and stolen.

 

Location Data Storage: Location data will be encrypted and uploaded to our dedicated server https://app-api.avenircreditng.com via HTTPS protocol. At no point will we share this data with third parties.

 

1.6 Phone and Device

What We Collect: Collect and monitor specific information about your device, including but not limited to your phone number, and information stored on your device including device name, model number, region and language settings, device identifier, device hardware and software information, IP address, status, usage habits, unique device identifiers such as IMEI and serial number.

 

Purpose: To uniquely identify the device and to ensure that unauthorized devices do not act on your behalf to prevent fraud.

1.7 Application Usage Data

What We Collect: We will collect the usage data of the installed application on your phone, including application name, package name, the time and frequency of installed application usage, and the activity status of the application.

 

Purpose: Based on this data, we can better assess user credit risk to increase the success rate of loan approval and prevent fraudulent users.

2Personal Data

 

What We Monitor and Collect :"Personally identifiable information" is information that can be used to uniquely identify a user such as name, password, ID number,date of birth, civil status, gender, email address,address, education level,phone number, revenue information,emergency contact and other personal details. Some examples of information that may be collected are (but not limited to):

 

Your First Name and Last Name(Middle name optional); your date of birth; your job and income information; your employment and income information; your bank account information; any personal information you provide us in connection with any customer service communication (email, phone or other means), dispute or complaint. Your state, area and full address.

 

Purpose: You may be asked to provide personally identifiable information to meet our legal obligations, verify your identity, determine eligibility for credit, protect against fraud, and complete your transaction. We may also use the provided personal information to inform you of special loan offers, to process your loans, to provide you with our services or to conduct surveys. While QuickNaira collects personally identifiable information on a voluntary basis for certain products and services, QuickNaira collection of personally identifiable information may be a requirement for access to our services or to process a user's loan.

 

SECTION THREE. WHY WE COLLECT INFORMATION

We collect information for the following purposes:

 

a. To process your transaction.

b. To verify your identity.

c. To assess credit risk.

d. To check our database for duplicate occurrences of your data(blacklist).

e. To disburse loans and collect payments for your use of the Service.

f. To build the credit models and perform credit scoring.

g. To provide you with personalized loans.

h. To analyze customer behavior.

i. To allow Us fulfill Our obligations to our partners.

J. To troubleshoot problems with the Service.

k. To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and rules such as those relating to "know-your-customer" and anti-money laundering requirements.

l. To detect and prevent fraud and other illegal use of the Service.

m. To send you marketing notices, service updates, and promotional offers.

n. To contact you by telephone using auto-dialed or pre-recorded message calls or text (SMS) messages (if applicable) as authorized for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

 

SECTION FOUR. HOW WE USE AND SHARE INFORMATION

By using the Services, you agree that we and members of QuickNaira shall use Customer Information in accordance with such clauses.

 

Uses Made of The Information

Information collected by us shall be used for the purposes defined in this Privacy Policy. 

 

We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to other parties unless it is necessary for providing the Services. We may share limited personal information with select partners for research and development. We may provide other parties with anonymous individual information about our users for the purposes of compiling statistics relating to our user base or loan portfolio and may disclose such information to any third party for such purposes, provided that such information will always be anonymous.

 

Sharing

By using the Services, you agree that we may as necessary and appropriate for the Purposes, transfer and disclose any Customer Information to the following recipients:

 

a. To members of QuickNaira for internal administrative purposes or for services necessary to make a credit decision, sub-contractors, service providers or agents of QuickNaira.

b. To your emergency contacts provided by yourself to verify their consent to be added as your emergency contact who may be contacted should you default in your loan obligation or failure to pick our calls.

c. Bank or agencies and any financial institutions in order to obtain information concerning credit references.

d. To persons action on your behalf , payment recipients, beneficiaries, account nominees, intermediary.

e. To any third party services providers which has concluded relevant contract with QuickNaira that support us in our business operations in particular in marketing, identification of your identity, fraud prevention , anti-money laundering and transaction processing, specialized in analytical tools or providers of information search services, hosting and website development, risk assessment, debt recovery and customer service. We will share the data only when it is necessary to appropriate perform our legal obligations and the proper performance of the Services.

f. In the event of non-performance or improper performance of your obligations arising from concluded loan agreement, we may transfer data regarding your overdue liabilities to debt collection companies, credit reference bureaus and companies providing legal services.

g. Government officials, law enforcement or other third parties, but only in relation to formal requests, court order or a similar legal procedure or when we assume that the disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, prevent physical arms, financial losses, report suspected illegal activity or to investigate violations of our Services.

h. Or any other legally permissible purposes.

i. We may associate any category of information with any other category of information and will treat the combined information as Consumer information in accordance with this policy for as long as it is combined.

j. You agree that QuickNaira shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from or incidental to our use, collection, processing and sharing of information relating to you, and any action we have taken in relation to this section.

 

SECTION FIVE. WHERE WE STORE INFORMATION

QuickNaira is controller to your data. We respect your privacy and ensure protection of your personal data and the processing of your personal data in accordance with the law. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to Our Sites; any transmission is at our own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.

 

The data we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside Nigeria. It may also be processed by staffs operating outside Nigeria who work for us or for one of our suppliers. These staff members may be engaged in the fulfillment of your requests. By submitting your Personal Data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing of data. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We may also disclose your data to anyone we consider necessary in order to provide you with services in connection with an account.

 

SECTION SIX: CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS AND RIGHTS

a. Please be informed that you have a right to request to correct your data, deletion of your data or limit the processing of your data and request access to your personal data

b. You agree to inform us promptly, and in any event, within 30 days, in writing via e-mail : contact@avenircreditng.com or by contacting our customer care infoline: 09120276654 if there are any changes to Customer Information supplied to Us from time to time and to respond promptly to any request from us.

c. Please note that when you fail to provide promptly Consumer Information that are necessary to use QuickNaira App or Services or you withhold or withdraw any contents that are necessary to process, transfer or disclose your Consumer information or we may have suspicions regarding any illegal use of QuickNaira App or our Services or any fraud or any financial crime we may not be entitled to continue our services and we reserve the right to terminate our relationship with you. We can also take actions that are necessary in accordance to our internal policies and Compliance Obligations.

d. Where we have given you a OTP code that enables you to access certain parts of Our APP, you are responsible for keeping this password confidentiality .We ask you not to share a password or login with anyone.

 

SECTION SEVEN. DATA RETENTION

a. We store your data for the time necessary to perform the loan agreement, perform our legitimate interests, in accordance with the statutory data retention period requirements.

b. Processing of the obtained data by QuickNaira despite the user's request to delete the data is lawful, where this is needed in particular for QuickNaira to meet its legal obligation, for statistical purposes, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

c. Your data regarding your identity, as well as the content of the concluded loan agreement and its performance, and data processing for assessing credit worthiness and credit risk will be kept for a period of limitation of any resulting claims from the concluded loan agreement.

d. We process your data to send you the commercial information regarding QuickNaira products and QuickNaira partners until you object to their processing.

e. In terms of the basis of the processing of your data is your consent, we process your data that are covered by the consent to the moment of its withdrawal or expiry (if the consent has been limited by the term).

 

SECTION EIGHT. QUESTIONS AND CHANGES

Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you when you next start the App or the Services Sites. The new terms may be displayed on-screen and you may be required to read and accept them to continue your use of the App or the Services.
